Medical Services
- General Dermatology: Dermatology is the study, diagnosis and
treatment of disorders of the skin, hair and nails. It
also deals with disorders of the mucous membranes (such
as the mouth and external genitalia) and superficial
vasculature (such as spider veins and vascular
birthmarks).
- Dermatologic Surgery: In general, this is the surgical treatment of
dermatologic disorders (for example, excision of skin
cancers, cysts and moles).
- Dermatopatholgy: This
specialty deals with the microscopic diagnosis of tissue
removed in a skin biopsy.
- Mohs Surgery: This is a specialized technique of removing
skin cancers which combines the skills of dermatologic
surgery and dermopathology to achieve high rates of cure
for certain skin cancers. Our office is one of 30 centers
nationally which provides specialty training to
dermatologists in this field.
- Laser Surgery We use two types of laser. The CO2 laser is used
for the removal of a variety of skin lesions, including warts. The Candela tunable dye laser is used for
removing or fading certain vascular disorders such as
"port-wine" birthmarks.
- Sclerotherapy: This is a procedure in which a small amount of a sclerosing solution is injected into spider veins on the legs to make them less visible.
- Cosmetic Services: Microdermabrasion, Vita Peel, IPl (Intense Pulsed Light), Collagen, Dermal Fillers, Botox, IPL/Blu-Light, Sclerotherapy
